Weekly Round-Up: Atlético win in Belo Horizonte, no goals in São Paulo between Corinthians & Fluminense

The final two CONMEBOL Sudamericana spots will be handed out after next week’s second legs, but both are still in question after a week of exciting action in the quarterfinal first legs.

Atlético Minero defeated La Equidad, but an away goal for the Colombians has them confident of their chances of turning the tie around next week in Bogotá. David Camacho's early penalty gave La Equidad the lead in Belo Horizonte and a crucial away goal. Atlético Minero would rally though. Jair struck first, smashing home on half an hour to equalize, then Elias in the second half gave Galo the lead for good from distance.

While the result is a positive one for the hosts, La Equidad will take confidence from their away goal, returning to Bogtoá with the knowledge that a 1-0 win next week would be enough to send them through to a semifinal matchup with Colón.

In São Paulo, a 0-0 draw between Corinthians and Fluminense leaves it all to play for next week in Rio de Janeiro. Corinthians had the majority of the chances on the night, with the Fluminense goalkeeper making a few impressive saves to keep the match scoreless.

Next week's match will determine who will face off with Independiente del Valle in the other semifinal. Both sides will feel they stand a chance with one moment potentially proving the difference at the Maracanã.
